Augment reality means to add something or to enhance something on a user's view of a real world and can be viewed by electronic devices such as smartphones, tablets etc.
It is a computer generated image added to the real world for example, filters in snapchat is an exanple of Augment Reality, a very popular game PokemonGo we have seen that when we trying to catch pokemon our mobile camera shows our surrounding with a pokemon as we can in picture given below-
It is becoming popular because it mixes the virtual world with the real world.
As we can see in virtual reality, this technology puts human in a virtual world but in augment reality scenario is bit different as mentioned earlier.
There is also a google project called TANGO. Tango is an augmented reality computing platform, developed and authored by the Advanced Technology and Projects(ATAP), a skunkworks division of Google.
